Katherine Miles Jones is a professional photographer and creative marketing consultant. With over fifteen years of experience behind the lens, she captures visual stories that freeze a moment in time.

Always drawn to storytelling, Katherine’s journey started when studying theatre and art history in Southern California. Photography was a natural progression as it combines the movement and direction of theatre with the composition and color of visual art. Furthering her studies at the International Center of Photography in New York City, Katherine’s photography career was launched at a commercial photography studio in Manhattan where she assisted on set for ad campaigns and magazine editorials.

Katherine honed her eye for visual direction as Art Director at a lifestyle website, and subsequently sharpened her abilities for fast-paced logistics as an assistant producer at the award winning production company, Warrior Poets (NYC). Katherine went on to launch and run a reputable photography business for over ten years, focusing on portraits and weddings throughout the Southeast and beyond. Most recently, Katherine led brand collaborations for Spoonflower (Durham, NC), a Shutterfly-owned company, leading marketing for brand partnerships and creative directing collaborative campaigns.

Currently, Katherine is focusing on portraiture, brand photography, and creative marketing consulting. She lives in Carrboro, NC, with her husband, two children, and dog.
